Xavi has come out in defence of team-mate Lionel Messi after the Argentine's reported outbursts following the recent El Clasico.
Barcelona met their great rivals Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in the Copa del Rey last month, drawing 1-1, but the aftermath of the clash was overshadowed by reports of Messi badmouthing some of the Los Blancos' players and staff.
Winger Jose Callejon accused the forward of calling Real's assistant boss Aitor Karanka a "puppet" for Jose Mourinho and there were also allegations of him attacking defender Alvaro Arbeloa in the car park.
However, Xavi has denied the claims and says it's just Madrid's attempts to try and unsettle the 25-year-old.
"I do not know if it happened or not," he said. "I did not see anything but it does not interest me, I have not even asked Leo.
"They want to sell the idea that Messi is a bad person, that he is the bad guy in the film? No. He is competitive, he wants to win. He will stay that way. What do they want with all this?"
