Public Speaking Marketing Tips - Autoresponders

Autoresponder Purposes and Strategies

Here are some strategies used by successful Internet marketers to write follow up autoresponder messages that will help you gain much higher levels of customer satisfaction and make more money. You can use the sequential autoresponders in http://www.kickstartcart.com/ for the following purposes:

? Free Ecourses

? Paid Ecourses

? Customer Service

? Reduction of "Buyer's Remorse"

? Customer Upsell

? Reduction of hassle

Customer Service

Customer service online needs to be better than in a face-to-face transaction. There is no personal interaction involved unless the customer has to call for something or you call them. This makes many customers very nervous. They are sitting at home wondering if they did the right thing by ordering. In many cases they are wondering if the transaction went through at all. You want them to hear from you right away. You want them to start to feel like "hey this company didn't just disappear with my money."

Buyer's Remorse

A typical problem in both online and off line sales is buyer's remorse, i.e., the customer is thinking, "Gee, I wish I hadn't bought that. I really didn't need it. Maybe I shouldn't have spent that much, etc."

Strategy

Part of the strategy in using sequential autoresponders is to start that feeling in the customer that you didn't just run off to a cyber resort with their money and sip cybermint juleps while they are trying to pay off their credit card. At the same time you can give them the feeling that purchasing from you was a good deal and that they made the right decision by purchasing and that they do need what they bought and that it was perfectly fine spending what they did . . . in fact it was dirt cheap." The rest of the strategy has to do with the fact that you would never want to make these follow-up contacts if you had to do it by phone or even by email. You should be too busy searching out new business all the time.

Using http://www.kickstartcart.com/?'s sequential auto responders will allow you to multiply yourself and get the job done that you'd like to do, but wouldn't normally have time to do. Also, a significant part of this whole deal is to use the sequential autoresponders to upsell the customer to additional related products based on what they have already purchased.

Iran focus of Russian president's visit to Israel

JERUSALEM?Israel urged the visiting Russian president on Monday to step up pressure on Iran to curb its suspect nuclear program but there was no sign of any concessions from Vladimir Putin.

With Russia an influential voice in the international debate over Iran, the outcome of the 24-hour visit could have deep implications for whether Israel decides to strike Tehran's nuclear facilities or give the international community more time to find a diplomatic solution to the standoff.

Israel and Russia enjoy deep economic and cultural relations bolstered by the more than 1 million immigrants from the former Soviet Union who now live in the Jewish state. But they have deeply differing approaches to Iran's nuclear program and the

uprising in Tehran's close ally Syria. Russia has blocked drastic action against the two countries, while Israel has repeatedly hinted it may act militarily to stop Iran's nuclear program.

In a brief statement after meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Putin said their talks covered the situation in Iran and the bloody uprising in Syria, but added that he saw negotiations as the only solution for such matters.

Netanyahu countered with far more detail.

"We agree that nuclear weapons in the hands of Iran pose a grave danger, first for Israel but also for the region and the whole world," he said. "Two things need to be done now: we need to bolster the sanctions and bolster the demands."

Netanyahu insisted that all uranium enrichment in Iran must cease and its underground nuclear facility near Qom be dismantled. He added that "the killing and horrible suffering of the Syrian people" must be stopped.

Israel sees Iran as its most dangerous enemy because it is convinced the country's nuclear program is meant to build bombs and not for peaceful purposes such as energy production, as Iran insists. The fears are compounded by Tehran's frequent calls for Israel's destruction, support for anti-Israel militants and arsenal of ballistic missiles.

Israel has said repeatedly that it would not tolerate a nuclear Iran, and while saying it prefers a diplomatic solution has also hinted of using a military strike as a last resort. Israel itself is widely believed to possess nuclear weapons.

Iran is under four sets of Security Council sanctions because of its nuclear program. Israel has welcomed these but warned they are not enough. Efforts aimed at tougher U.N. sanctions have been opposed in the Security Council by Russia and China, both permanent veto-wielding members that have extensive financial interests in Iran.

Russia, for instance, has built a $1 billion nuclear reactor in Bushehr. But Moscow, bowing to U.S. and Israeli demands, has also scrapped a deal to sell Iran long-range missiles that could provide a powerful deterrent against a potential air attack.

Russia and China have joined world powers in a new set of low-level negotiations with Iran in July, after the last round yielded no breakthroughs.

Another Israeli concern is Syria. Russia has continued its arms sales to Damascus throughout the violent popular uprising against President Bashar Assad. Israel is afraid Russian weapons in Syria will fall into the hands of allied Hezbollah militants in neighboring Lebanon, something Israel says happened during its 2006 war with the Lebanese group.

Putin began his official visit at a ceremony to inaugurate a Soviet Red Army memorial in the coastal city of Netanya, paying tribute to fallen soldiers of World War II that included tens of thousands of Jews.

"The memory of the fallen is sacred in my eyes. I am moved that you feel the same thing in Israel," he said, facing the sculpture of a massive pair of wings on a wind-swept hilltop overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.

President Shimon Peres linked the past to the challenges of the present.

"I am confident that Russia, which defeated fascism, will not allow similar threats today. Not the Iranian threat. And not the bloodshed in Syria," he said at the ceremony.

At a state dinner later Monday, Peres pressed Putin further.

"I ask of you again: raise your voice against a nuclear Iran, against destroying a people. You know well the depth of sensitivity of the Jewish people when we are threatened with destruction," he said.

Putin responded that Russia has a "national interest" to secure peace and quiet in Israel but did not elaborate further.

The trip was Putin's second in Israel, having last visited seven years ago. On Tuesday, he heads to the West Bank and Jordan.

The Russian leader came with an entourage of hundreds of officials and businesspeople, who will be exploring possible military, technology and energy deals between the two countries.

Putin said his visit stressed not only the friendly relations between the countries but also a "solid basis on which to build dialogue and partnership." He said he spoke with Netanyahu about cooperation in science, technology, agriculture, medicine and culture.

The leaders also discussed the victory of the Muslim Brotherhood's Mohammed Morsi in Egypt's presidential election, as well as stalled Israeli-Palestinian peacemaking.

"Israel appreciates the democratic process in Egypt and respects its outcome. We look forward to working with the new administration based upon the peace agreement between us," said Netanyahu. "I believe that peace is an essential interest of both countries and I believe that peace is the basic element of stability on our region."

Israel and Egypt signed a peace treaty in 1979. Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood has said it would maintain the treaty but would demand changes to it.

Buehrle, Stanton lead Marlins past Phillies

Associated Press Sports

updated 5:48 p.m. ET June 30, 2012

MIAMI (AP) - Giancarlo Stanton homered and drove in two runs, Mark Buehrle pitched seven strong innings and the Miami Marlins beat the Philadelphia Phillies 3-2 Saturday for their third straight win.

Jose Reyes had two hits, stole two bases and scored twice for Miami. The Marlins' winning streak is their longest since sweeping a three-game series from Washington on May 28-30.

Hunter Pence homered and had three hits for the Phillies, who have lost four straight.

Buehrle (7-8) allowed two runs and seven hits. He struck out seven and walked one.

Mike Dunn pitched a perfect eighth before Heath Bell came in to pitch the ninth. Bell allowed a one-out double to Carlos Ruiz before striking out Pence and getting Shane Victorino to ground out for his 16th save in 20 chances.

Cole Hamels (10-4) fell to 0-3 against the Marlins this season. He gave up three runs and seven hits in seven innings while striking out five.

The Marlins Park crowd of 31,311 saw the fastest home game of the season at 2 hours, 20 minutes.

Pence's solo home run in the seventh off Buehrle cut the deficit to 3-2, but Buehrle was able to finish the inning.

Stanton's estimated 424-foot shot in the first, his 18th homer, gave the Marlins a 1-0 lead. Shane Victorino's sacrifice fly tied it in the second.

Miami took a 2-1 lead on Stanton's RBI single in the third.

Reyes was the catalyst for the Marlins' third run as he led off the fifth with a single, then stole second and third base. Justin Ruggiano hit a sacrifice fly to deep center to score Reyes.

NOTES: Phillies 2B Chase Utley is 5 for 13 in four games since making his season debut Wednesday following a knee injury. ... An X-ray revealed that Marlins RHP Edward Mujica had a fractured right small toe after taking a hard ground ball from Placido Polanco in the seventh inning of Friday's 6-2 win. Mujica believes he will be back in two weeks. ... Marlins SS Hanley Ramirez hit a long home run during batting practice that hit the top of the Budweiser bar in deep left-center field and bounced through a narrow five-foot gap between the sliding windows, which were being shut at the time of Ramirez's hit. ... The Miami Heat's Shane Battier took part in batting practice and threw out the ceremonial first pitch. Chris Bosh was also in attendance. ... The Phillies will send RHP Joe Blanton (7-6, 4.87 ERA) to the mound in Sunday's series finale against RHP Ricky Nolasco (6-6, 4.78 ERA).

80% Renewable Energy by 2050 is Possible, Just Using Today's Commercially-Available Technology

contri/CC BY-SA 2.0

While more research into improving renewable energy technology is certainly a good thing, a new report from the National Renewable Energy Laboratory shows that even if we just had today's cleantech for the next 40 years, we'd still be able to supply 80% of our electricity from low-carbon sources.

Climate Progress does a good job breaking down the report, outlining the different scenarios presented by NREL, so I'll refer you there for the majority of the details.

Under the 80% scenario, wind power is the single-largest energy source, roughly 35% of electricity, biomass is roughly 20%, solar power (PV and concentrating) is a bit over 10%, as is hydropower, nuclear power and coal hanging in there at just under 10%, with geothermal and natural gas in the low single digits.

The key take-away for me is the same point CP is highlighting:

We don't need some crazy cool new technology or some groundbreaking invention. We aren't waiting on the scientific community to make some breakthrough.

There's obviously a hefty transition to go through to replace our existing, polluting energy system into a clean one?we shouldn't underestimate that?but if there's one barrier that simply doesn't exist it's the technology to produce energy from renewable sources itself.

To poke at a turn of phrase that particular irks me: There's no game that needs to be changed?other than perhaps the political one that keeps us stuck in the same polluting rut that's killing us and the planet increasingly quickly.

Notre Dame Football: Breaking Down the Irish's Chances of Landing Alex Anzalone

Despite an impressive haul of 15 commitments to this point, Notre Dame is still searching for more in its 2013 class ? not just in quantity, but in quality. With a small 2012 class, multiple defections and some possible medical hardships, this year?s class is expected to be somewhere around 22 or 23 by the time National Signing Day rolls around in February.

While eight of Notre Dame?s commitments are rated as at least 4-star prospects by Rivals.com, the Irish need that number to reach double digits in order to complete the type of class they need to compete at the highest level. Perhaps their top remaining target at this point is linebacker Alex Anzalone from Wyomissing, Pa.

One of the best players in the Keystone State, Anzalone could play either inside or outside. Due to the?recent commitment of 5-star linebacker Jaylon Smith, an ideal outside linebacker, the Irish like Anzalone primarily at inside linebacker, a position of need. Manti Te?o departs after the season, and Dan Fox and Carlo Calabrese are seniors in the classroom with fifth-year options for 10`2.

An exceptional student, Anzalone is a great fit both on and off of the field for Notre Dame. Geometry even has a place on the gridiron, in the form of angles of pursuit. Anzalone excels at closing gaps on running backs with great vision and field awareness. At 6?3?, he has a bigger frame than Te?o, and could turn into the next great Irish run-stuffer.

Anzalone was initially committed to Ohio State, but reversed course in early May following a report that a registered sex offender was using social media to contact potential Buckeyes recruits. A photo was leaked of Anzalone and current Notre Dame commit Mike Heuerman with the man at the team?s spring game in April.

?

He initially did not rule out a re-commitment to Ohio State, but they appeared to have fallen out of favor. The three?contenders for Anzalone are Florida, Notre Dame and Penn State. Although he was planning to visit Penn State on Thursday, the Nittany Lions appear to be trailing slightly behind the Gators and Irish.

Anzalone?s father, Sal, is a Florida alumnus, and his grandparents currently reside in Florida. However, Anzalone was?in?South Bend?two weeks ago with a number of current Irish commits including Heuerman, Smith, Malik Zaire and Rashad Kinlaw. The rapport he?s developed with the current group of commits (search #IrishMob13 on Twitter for evidence of the group?s camaraderie) bodes well for Notre Dame?s chances.

His visit to State College will likely be his final one before making a decision. A decision prior to the start of the season is expected, and could come as early as the next couple of?weeks. After he de-committed from Ohio State, Florida appeared to be the favorite because of the family connections. Reading the tea leaves, I?d be surprised if he doesn?t end up at Notre Dame.

Due to geography, academics and its on-field struggles, Notre Dame can?t be a major player with every top recruit. When someone with Anzalone?s makeup seriously considers Notre Dame, it becomes almost a must-get for Brian Kelly. With Smith, there was a happy ending for the Irish. While it?s far from a certainty at this point, expect a similar outcome with Anzalone.

Future Of Google Mobile: Google Now

Google NowYesterday at Google I/O, the show was really mostly about hardware and non directly related search items. There was one topic on search, Google Now.

Google Now is likely the future of Google's mobile search experience. It provides you with search results and answers before you even need them. Google said, "Google Now gets you just the right information at just the right time."

Greg Sterling explained the mobile search experience:

  • An improved Google search UI (incorporating the Knowledge Graph for more structured results)
  • A Siri-like female voice to read you search results (in some circumstances)
  • Google Now (a capability that takes your calendar, location and other data inputs and gives you information with no formal query prompting)

Google Now displays "cards" of information when you need them. For example, when is your next calendar appointment, what are directions that avoid traffic to that appointment, what is the menu of the restaurant you are sitting in, the list goes on.

Google brings increased functionality to voice search with Jelly Bean

Voice Search

Google is showing us a demo of Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) and one of the many improvements includes much improved voice search features. We all know how Apple has been promoting Siri to no end and this looks like a serious competitor.

The improved voice search includes functionality from their knowledge graph. For example, the presenter asked who the Prime Minister of Japan was, the phone brought up Wikipedia and read who the Prime Minister is. He asked for pictures of marmosets and it brought up pictures of the funny looking creature. Impressive stuff and we'll look to have a demo of it for you when we can.

Home Improvement Ideas And Tricks For You ? Yapperz.com ...

If you want to keep your home well maintained, home improvement projects are necessary. However, figuring out how to do this job yourself isn't always easy. There are lot of tools, elements of design, and regulations to consider and make sense of. This article will walk you through making the right choices when you are doing home improvements. central vacuum hose Consider the character of your neighborhood when planning home improvement projects. A Victorian house on a block that is otherwise full of saltbox cottages will stick out in a bad way. You have to remember that you'll likely sell your home in the future, and this will be much easier if it fits in with the neighborhood around it.

If you're getting a contractor to take on some home improvement projects for you, it's crucial that you ensure they're properly insured. Should they cause damage to the house and lack proper insurance, you may end up having to sue them. You can ask for papers to make sure that the contractor is insured.

If your central air conditioning or heating system is more than seven years old, it might be wise to replace it. This home improvement can greatly reduce your heating and cooling costs. Newer models are also much quieter than the older ones.

Environmental Protection Agency certification is an important consideration in selecting a wood burning stove. Newer stove models have this, but some of the older ones might not pass the standards we have n place today. Since burning wood indoors can produce carbon monoxide, carefully check your wood-burning stove for leaks.

Increase the safety of your home by developing escape routes for your family and installing necessary equipment. If you have a fire or earthquake, your natural inclination is going to be to panic. However, working on a safe route and practicing this route can really help to alleviate the panic involved in escaping. Meet up with everyone in your home and make an escape route that will work well for everyone.

Save money by purchasing a drain snake. Doing this means you won't need to purchase drain cleaners all the time. Drain snakes shouldn't be used unless you are experienced using them. Invest in a snake that's the correct size or you may damage your pipes.

When it comes to redecorating and remodeling, it is possible to find ideas in magazines, at home improvement shows and by using paint swatches. Even if you have no immediate plans to do a project, finding and retaining ideas for later use can make your projects less stressful when you do decide to begin undertaking them. Also, it may make sense to buy materials gradually in order to distribute the cost more evenly.

Make an inexpensive and simple back-splash for the kitchen that you have by using varnish and wallpaper. Buy wallpaper you like. Cut the wallpaper bigger than the measurements from the wall. Put paste on the paper and give it a little time to firm up. Then, hang the wallpaper over the area you applied the paste, using a squeegee on the paper to eliminate bubbles and smooth things out. Finally, cut the edges to make it fit perfectly. Then, varnish. Then sit back and enjoy the look of your thrifty, but new, back-splash.

It doesn't matter if you have a large project or a small one, there are a lot of different ways of going about it. Use some creativity to get the look you can be proud of. The creativity is up to you. The advice you have read in the article above is how you can relay those ideas into practical applications.

GOP lawmaker loses in Okla., Hatch wins in Utah

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) ? Republican divisions resurfaced in congressional primaries, with five-term Rep. John Sullivan falling to a tea party backed opponent in Oklahoma while Utah Sen. Orrin Hatch easily defeated another candidate backed by the insurgent group. It was Hatch's first primary challenge since his election to the Senate in 1976.

Jim Bridenstine, a Navy pilot and the former director of a Tulsa space museum, defeated Sullivan on Tuesday, making him the fourth incumbent congressman to lose in primaries this year. Bridenstine labeled Sullivan a career politician and criticized his votes to rescue financial firms during the height of the 2008 economic downtown and to increase the debt ceiling last year.

Sullivan seemed to be caught off guard by the closeness of the race. He had won his five previous elections with an increasingly larger percentage of the vote.

Hatch, 78, had been bracing for a tough re-election battle, but he breezed to victory. Former state Sen. Dan Liljenquist, who survived a 2008 plane crash in Guatemala that killed 11 of 14 on board, won just enough support at the state GOP's nominating convention to advance to the primary.

But Liljenquist faced an overwhelming financial and organizational disadvantage in the primary. Hatch, learning from the defeat two years ago of his Senate colleague Robert Bennett, spent about $10 million blanketing the airwaves and building a campaign operation unlike anything Utah had seen before.

Hatch told the Associated Press in an interview Tuesday night that he was ready to tackle the nation's debt problems and focus on Social Security and Medicare.

"This is my last term," Hatch said. "I'm ready to bite the bullet."

During the Oklahoma campaign, Bridenstine said Sullivan's history of "substance abuse" made him unfit for office, a reference to Sullivan's battle with alcoholism that involved a one-month stay at the Betty Ford Clinic in California in 2009.

In a series of advertisements and at debates, Bridenstine noted that Sullivan had missed 9 percent of House votes since 2003, much higher than the average rate of 2.4 percent. Sullivan said Bridenstine was making a read-between-the-lines attack on his time at the Betty Ford Center and his missing votes after the death of a child.

Bridenstine, 36, enjoyed the support from many in the tea party movement. He said during the campaign that Sullivan's votes weren't appropriate in a state where President Barack Obama failed to win a single county in 2008.

"He's been there for 10 years and there's a lot of people just like him who have made a career out of this, and when you are a career politician, you vote for things like bailouts, debt ceiling increases, government takeovers, stimulus packages and subsidies," Bridenstine said.

In Hatch's quest for a seventh term, he seemed to have an answer to every criticism. For those who said that 36 years in office was enough, he said that he wouldn't be running again if it weren't for the opportunity to serve as chairman of the Senate Finance Committee if the GOP wins control of the Senate.

For those who said he wasn't conservative enough, he gravitated to the right, scoring a 100 percent rating from the American Conservative Union in 2010 and 2011. His lifetime rating of 89 percent from the ACU would place Hatch among the Senate's most conservative lawmakers.

Liljenquist, 37, a relative newcomer to the Utah political scene, seized on voters' concerns about the growing national debt and tried to make the case that Hatch had been a major contributor to that debt.

A political action committee called FreedomWorks for America spent about $900,000 trying to defeat Hatch. Russ Walker, national political director for the super PAC, said his organization believes it did the right thing by taking on the incumbent. He noted that Hatch's voting record and rhetoric had become more conservative over the past two years.

With the primary victory, Hatch is a huge favorite to win the general election in November against Democratic candidate Scott Howell.

Should I Hire a Private Individual for In-Home Nursing Care? | Home ...

Cleansing Water Inc., home health care agency Northern Virginia,

Marsha Grant, President, Cleansing Water, Inc.

If you or a family member are in need of in-home nursing care, you may be worried about the cost of in-home care. Why not save money by hiring an individual directly to care for you or your loved one in your home, instead of going through an agency?

Here are important things you should consider before hiring any individual for in-home care:

Are you prepared and able to do a criminal background check on this individual?

Unsupervised in-home caregivers are more likely to subject you or your loved one to abuse. A 2007 study of more than 7,000 elderly individuals found that at least one in ten experienced at least one form of abuse (emotional abuse, physical abuse, sexual abuse, or neglect) during the past year. ?Read more.

See also: U. S. Department of Justice Fact Sheet: Elder Abuse and Mistreatment.

How would you feel if the person you hired and trusted to take good care of your loved one turned out to be neglectful and/or abusive? Reputable, licensed home health care agencies provide background checks and screen all caregivers before sending them to your home. What price do you put on your peace of mind and the assurance that you or your loved one will be cared for responsibly, reliably and compassionately?

Will you have an emergency backup plan if the individual you hire cannot or does not show up on the scheduled day or time?

Your caregiver could call in sick at the last minute or simply not show up as expected for any number of reasons. A key benefit that home health care agencies provide is emergency backup care when something goes wrong. Since agencies maintain a staff of trained nurses and caregivers, they are better equipped to provide last-minute emergency care when your primary caregiver can?t be there.

Who will pay payroll taxes?

When you hire an individual to care for yourself or a family member, you are responsible for withholding and paying payroll taxes for that individual. Do you really want the responsibility of maintaining and filing payroll records and taxes for your in-home caregiver? Licensed home health care agencies relieve you of this burden by assuming the responsibility for calculating, withholding, reporting and paying caregiver payroll taxes.

Do you want to be responsible for unemployment insurance for the individual you hire?

If you decide to fire the individual you hire for any reason, they can file an unemployment claim and you will be responsible for paying the unemployment insurance to them. This can come as a shock to a lot of people.

If you are in need of in-home nursing, light housekeeping or companion care, Cleansing Water, Inc. can help. We are a fully-licensed and insured Northern Virginia home health care agency, providing professional and compassionate elder care, alzheimers care, post-surgical care, care for disabled individuals, new mother care, infant care to individuals in Culpeper, Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William, Rappahannock and Warren Counties, Virginia. We have CNAs and trained caregivers available for short-term respite care as well as long-term care. For more information, call (540) 341-0212 or (866) 294-4665, or email info@cleansingwater.com.

Le Creole and Roux Wine put on a romantic wine dinner in Baton ...

MenuLe Creole recently teamed up with Roux Wine and Spirits to put on a Romantic Summer Dinner crafted by Chef Ryan Andre. ?Fresh off the news of being named as one of the five 2012 Chefs to Watch by Louisiana Cookin' Magazine, Chef Andre picked a great way to show off his skills in the kitchen. ?Myrna Arroyo from Roux Wine and Spirits paired each dish with amazing wines that are available in her shop on Airline Highway. ?The match quickly proved to be magical with the onslaught of passed hors d'oeuvres and sparkling wine. ?Chef's first dishes included a one-bite fried Gulf oyster with micro greens and spicy tuna toast that nearly melted in my mouth. ?The Brut wine gave the diners an excellent excuse to toast each other, and it partnered very nicely with the seafood appetizers.Le Creole and Roux Wine put on a romantic wine dinner in Baton Rouge

The friendly wait staff at Le Creole brought out the wild salmon crudo for our first course after being seated in the spacious dining room. ?The plentiful slices of wild Atlantic salmon were topped with a salad of arugula, red onion, crispy capers, and white truffle salt. ?Though the salad provided a whole meal of food, I can't complain about large portion sizes! ?Plus, everything tasted so well balanced and flavored that I couldn't stop tasting... then tasting again. ?The raw salmon had an ideal texture and the truffle salt provided just the right amount of flavor to compliment the dish rather than overpower it.

The next course is the one that I smiled about the most when glancing over the menu before the meal. ?The "battling rabbits" featured a rabbit liver bruschetta with spicy tomato jam along side a rabbit boudin gallette. ?The livers themselves were delicate and delicious, cooked down to a spreadable form over the crusty bread with a spicy tomato jam that could be bottled and sold. ?Chef took his house-made rabbit boudin and formed it into patties before coating them in panko bread crumbs and flash frying them. ?Add a couple pickled watermelon rind slivers, and we had quite a plate before us. ?The gallette provided an excellent contrast of textures between the crunchy exterior and the moist interior. ?I applaud the creativity of the dish as a whole, and it lived up to my high hopes.

The "bayou to nest" dish featured tempura battered and fried soft shell crawfish along with a roasted squab with patty pan squash and baby zucchini. ?Another dish with plenty to eat, I tried my hardest to take the whole thing down. ?Squab is a decent sized pigeon for one person, but I enjoyed the presentation of the entire bird on the plate. ?It had a sweet sauce along with it that actually worked quite well. ?And the soft shell crawfish were amazingly unique and delightful.

The meal ended with a mousse tuille duo conjured up by Le Creole's pastry chef. ?The plate came with a Ponchatoula strawberry mousse along with a dark chocolate-espresso mousse. ?The mousse duo dish provided a great way to end the stomach-stuffing meal. ?They were light and refreshing enough to still enjoy them despite having very limited gastronomic real estate for them to go.

The dinner as a whole lived up to all expectations. ?I'd like to congratulate Chef Ryan Andre and manager Clark Ellis on the phenomenal event hosting and the meal. ?Also props to Myrna Arroyo for the wine pairings! ?Though not mentioned much here, the wines were all?exquisite?and wonderfully paired with the cuisine. ?I'd be happy to go to any tag-team dinner like this again. ?Not to mention, I really enjoy two businesses in the food and drink world coming together to support and promote each other. ?Nothing like some good collaboration! ?Cheers!

Wake Me Up On Judgment Day

By MICHAEL FALCONE ( @michaelpfalcone ) and AMY WALTER ( @amyewalter )

NOTABLES

SUPREME COURT DECISIONS LOOMS, BUT ECONOMY LOOMS LARGER. Although all the sound and fury of the week will be centered on the Supreme Court's big health care and immigration decisions, both issues are still likely to take a backseat to the economy come November. Polling shows that most voters' views of "Obamacare" are already hardened, which means that no matter how the high court rules this week, the 2012 presidential election still hinges on peoples' pocketbooks.

A PEEK INTO ROMNEY'S PARK CITY WEEKEND. In case you weren't one of the lucky ones invited to Mitt Romney's retreat for high-dollar donors in Park City, Utah this weekend, ABC's Shushannah Walshe and Arlette Saenz re-live it all. The three-day festival of money and politics was full of standout moments, GOP rock stars, and Romney family members. Quote of the Weekend: "I'm tired of boozing," one wealthy New York City bundler said to Walshe and Saenz Saturday evening. He was spotted leaving one of that night's private dinners early and told us he was tired from a weekend of chatting and schmoozing. http://abcn.ws/Nq3mDc

BIOGRAPHER POKES HOLES IN OBAMA LORE. In the latest installment of ABC/Yahoo!'s Power Player series "Political Punch," ABC's Jake Tapper interviews David Maraniss, author of the new book "Barack Obama: The Story." "The moment that overwhelmed me was actually in Indonesia, in Jakarta," said Maraniss, where 7-year-old Obama - then called Barry Soetoro, taking the name of his stepfather - lived. Obama, said Maraniss, didn't know the language, and wasn't a rich kid going to the international school. He was one of the neighborhood kids at the neighborhood school. "When I was there, in those alleys, and thinking about that Barry Soetoro becoming President Obama, that was kind of uh, an amazing moment," Maraniss told Tapper. WATCH: http://yhoo.it/OeRt86

THE NOTE:

The Supreme Court decision on health care reform will dominate the week, but it's not going to determine the election.

If the individual mandate is determined to be unconstitutional, President Obama will see his singular achievement undermined. If it upholds the law, the president will have a legacy.

But while Washington will obsess about picking winners and losers, the public is likely to tune out the debate all together.

First, most Americans have already formed an opinion about "Obamacare." And even a Supreme Court decision won't change those hardened views.

For example, the Kaiser Family Foundation has been tracking public opinion about the law since April 2011. What it shows is remarkable consistency of opinion. Republicans have hated it all along, while Democrats have supported it (though not as intensely have Republicans have disliked it). And, independents have been consistently un-supportive.

In April of 2011, 46 percent of independents viewed the health care law unfavorably, compared to 36 percent who viewed it favorably. Today, 49 percent view it unfavorably, while 34 percent view it favorably. http://bit.ly/zLaTpP

Second, most Americans have yet to feel the benefits of a law that has not been fully implemented.

And, finally - and most importantly - the economy is driving this election. Period.

The more that folks in Washington, DC and elsewhere spend on this debate, the more out of touch they look to the many voters who are worried, first and foremost, about keeping - or getting - a job.

This isn't to say that health care isn't important to voters. It is.

But, what they are tired of is a political culture that is more interested in scoring points than in solving problems. And, it's clear that regardless of what the Supreme Court decides, Congress isn't going to solve any of this between now and November.

NOTE IT!

Our virtual political roundtable:

ABC's RICK KLEIN: If this week can't shake this race from its remarkable stability, maybe nothing can. The campaign has a defining week on tap - two major Supreme Court decisions, tense legislative stand-offs, the attorney general on the verge of being held in contempt of Congress. We may be in a race that stays around 47-47 all the way to November. But if outside events can nudge those numbers, this kind of week that can make it start to happen.

OBAMA IN NEW HAMPSHIRE. President Obama heads to New Hampshire for a speech at a high school in Durham, N.H. this afternoon. From an Obama campaign official: "Today in Durham, New Hampshire, the President will offer Granite State voters the choice to break the stalemate between two economic visions on how to grow to the economy - one that builds the economy from the middle class out, and the other from the top down. As a corporate buyout specialist, Mitt Romney was an outsourcing pioneer who invested in companies that helped move American jobs overseas. And while the President would end tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas, Mitt Romney's policies offer them additional incentives to outsource."

PRO-OBAMA SUPER PAC SENDS IN AIR SUPPORT. The super PAC supporting President Obama's re-election bid, Priorities USA Action, released a new television ad this weekend - the latest in their series of attacks on Mitt Romney's record at the private equity firm, Bain Capital. The latest ad titled, "My Own Coffin," features the story of Mike Earnest, a former employee at American Pad and Paper (Ampad) in Marion, Indiana. "Out of the blue one day, we were told to build a 30-foot stage. Gathered the guys, and we built that 30-foot stage, not knowing what it was for," Earnest says in the commercial. "Just days later, all three shifts were told to assemble in the warehouse. A group of people walked out on that stage, and told us that the plant is now closed, and all of you are fired. I looked both ways, I looked at the crowd, and we all just lost our jobs. We don't have an income. Mitt Romney made over a hundred million dollars by shutting down our plant, and devastated our lives. Turns out that when we built that stage, it was like building my own coffin. And it just made me sick." The news spot is part of a $10 million campaign running on television and online in Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. WATCH: http://youtu.be/oLo0Jwj03JU

"THIS WEEK" REWIND. House Oversight Committee Chairman DARRELL ISSA sat down with ABC's JAKE TAPPER on Sunday to discuss the latest developments in the on-going investigation into Operation Fast and Furious.

"There cannot be executive privilege over criminal cover-up or cover-up of crime. Lying to Congress is a crime. We have every right to see documents to say, 'did you know, when did you know, what did you know,' including even the president," he said. Issa also said he believes the operation could have been part of a larger attempt by the Obama administration to push through tougher gun laws in the U.S., though he said he could not be certain. "But here's the real answer as to gun control. We have e-mail from people involved in this that are talking about using what they're finding here to support the - basically assault weapons ban or greater reporting. We don't know which came first; we probably never will. We do know that during this - this Fast and Furious operation, there were e-mails in which they're saying we can use this as part of additional reporting or things like assault weapons ban. So the people involved saw the benefit of what -what they were gathering. Whether or not that was their original purpose, we probably will never know." WATCH: http://abcn.ws/xEMGw

Tapper was also joined by a powerhouse round table including Rep. Xavier Becerra, George Will, Major Garrett, Peggy Noonan and Hilary Rosen. In addition to the Fast and Furious investigation, the group discussed the Latino vote, and the latest developments in the 2012 Veepstakes. WATCH: http://abcn.ws/ xEMGw

REMAINDERS FROM THE ROMNEY RETREAT: ABC's Shushannah Walshe and Arlette Saenz report from Park City, Utah that all weekend long Mitt Romney's top donors were treated to panels on specialized policy topics, such as healthcare or the financial services industry, heard speeches from stars of the Republican Party, such as former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and were granted access to the presidential candidate's senior advisors for information about the inner workings of the campaign. All events were closed to reporters, but ABC News has the rundown of some of what these donors were privileged to hear. http://abcn.ws/Mid12Z

-VEEP SPOTTINGS: A number of vice presidential contenders were in attendance for the weekend Romney donor retreat in Park City, Utah, but while they mostly were kept guarded from reporters, @ABC News' Shushannah Walshe and I were able to spot a few. Ohio Sen. Rob Portman strolled from the Chateaux at Silver Lake to the Golden Hirsch Inn Saturday evening as he was to appear as a "special guest" at one of the private donor dinners. We chatted with him about the retreat, VP talk, and kayaking. Does he get annoyed by the constant veep chatter or does he like it? http://abcn.ws/KtWbc2

Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan sped over to the retreat Saturday morning in a golf cart, waving to reporters, who were kept at a distance, as his golf cart entered the enclosed garage. Ryan arrived at the evening reception, where former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush spoke, with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, and when Ryan left the reception, he was seen hopping into a van with donors heading to a private dinner at an undisclosed location. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal was spotted arriving at the Chateaux early Friday in an SUV that ducked into the garage. Sen. John Thune was on hand Friday and Saturday and spoke with us in the lobby Saturday morning. Thune's wife, Kimberly, said her favorite of Friday night's reception at Olympic Park was the performance by the ski jumpers, describing the athletic spectacle as "Wow." Her husband joked she was "off message" because she didn't cite Mitt Romney's speech as her favorite moment from the night. Just moments before, Kimberly Thune was saved from a potential fashion mishap when a Romney staffer came to her aid using a Tide stain stick on a spot on her red and white dress. And while we never set our eyes on former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, the reporters stationed on the sidewalk across the street from the Chateaux were duped many times by some Pawlenty lookalikes walking to and from the resorts. http://abcn.ws/Of2xlv

- CONDI STEALS THE SHOW: Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice's lunchtime speech at the Romney donor retreat Saturday was the highlight of the weekend's festivities for many of the attendees. "Many of those same attendees said the star speaker of the weekend was former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who received and a standing ovation. Ambassador Charles Cobb, who served as ambassador to Iceland from 1989 to 1992, said Rice was 'spectacular' and described her as a 'very bright, sophisticated, articulate lady.' Husband-and-wife donors from Los Angeles who did not want to be identified said Rice's message was one of 'America needing to take charge.' 'We can't stand by and let things happen,' the wife said. 'If we do, someone else will take that leadership role.' They both described her address as an "impassioned plea" for the country to 'stand up and take charge.' Donor Kent Lucken, an international banker in Boston who moved back to his home state of Iowa for six weeks before the caucuses to help Romney, said 'she rocked it.' http://abcn.ws/MSXkdy

-PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: SUVs and town cars weren't the only mode of transportation over the weekend. Attendees hopped into golf carts that transported them between the Chateaux and the Stein Eriksen Lodge. On Friday, Mary Matalin whizzed by, and Saturday morning, Paul Ryan arrived in a golf cart and waved at reporters. Later in the day, Karl Rove, in a blue blazer, dashed out and described his own panel on "media insight" as "damn good." A few minutes later Romney counsel Ben Ginsberg also got into a golf cart. http://abcn.ws/Nq3mDc

-SUPER PAC SPOTTINGS: A man in a dark suit and purple pocket square was camped out in the lobby of the Chateaux at Silver Lake talking to what appeared to be lanyard-wearing donors. The man was Charlie Spies, the founder of the Mitt Romney-backing super PAC Restore Our Future. He wasn't attending any of the panels or discussions and didn't even want to go into get a cup of coffee, but the lobby is really the place to be, with attendees walking to and from meetings or gathering to talk. ? It's legal for Spies to be there, but "coordination" with the candidate is not, a rule that's hard to enforce and explain. "People here understand that the private sector is not doing fine and we need a president who understands how to create jobs and turn the economy around," Spies told ABC News. The Romney campaign said the super PAC members were in Park City on their own, and were not attendees of the event. "ROF staff were not invited, nor did they attend or participate the retreat," Romney campaign spokeswoman Andrea Saul said. "As with members of the media, they may have been in public spaces, and the campaign did not control that. We are fully aware of the law and comply with it completely." http://abcn.ws/MHc5lq

UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRAT SEES IMPACT OF OBAMA SHIFT ON 2012 CAMPAIGN. ABC's Devin Dwyer reports, Jos? Manuel God?nez-Samperio can't vote in the November election. But God?nez-Samperio, along with and tens of thousands of other young undocumented immigrants are indelibly influencing the 2012 presidential race. These so-called "dreamers," who came to the U.S. before age 16, entering the country illegally alongside their parents or as tourists, grew up as Americans and are now at the center of a high-stakes policy debate over deportations, jobs and citizenship. Its tone and substance is particularly resonant with Latino voters in several key swing states, including Florida. http://abcn.ws/Lq0gCo

ANONYMOUS DONOR TO COVER COSTS OF OBAMA'S NEW HAMPSHIRE STOP. The Union Leader's Gretyl Macalaster reports: "A resident who asked to remain anonymous stepped forward Sunday and offered to donate up to $20,000 to the town for public safety costs related to President Barack Obama's visit today. The town found itself at the center of a campaign-cost controversy this weekend after the Obama for America-New Hampshire campaign refused a request to pick up the tab for hiring police officers. The President is scheduled to visit Oyster River High School this afternoon." http://bit.ly/ NrBgHM

ROMNEY FLEXES MUSCLE AS HUGE WEEK LOOMS FOR OBAMA. Analysis from ABC's Rick Klein: This week will bring the Supreme Court's judgment on the Obama health care law. It will bring either repudiation or validation for the signature accomplishment from the president's term - enough, perhaps, to shake loose what's been a remarkably steady race. There's the big challenge of the unsteady economy, tempered at least for now by dropping gas prices. And there's an administration facing new challenges from Congress - a stalled student-loan bill, national-security leak investigations, and Attorney General Eric Holder in a tense stand-off with the House of Representatives over a botched gun-running operation across the Mexican border. http://abcn.ws/MJvmmf

THE WHITE HOUSE WAITS? The New York Times' Jodi Kantor reports: "Mr. Obama and the White House have put on brave faces, insisting that the law and the mandate at its center will be upheld when the court rules this month. In private conversations, they predict that the bulk of the law will survive even if the mandate requiring Americans to buy health insurance does not. But even if the White House is a fortress of message discipline, it cannot disguise the potential heartbreak for Mr. Obama, who managed to achieve a decades-old Democratic dream despite long odds and at steep cost." http://nyti.ms/L9x8fZ

ROMNEY FACES A DRAGON IN JOBS SENT TO CHINA. A conveniently timed piece on Mitt Romney in The Washington Post has given Democrats a big chance to label him as a proponent of outsourcing jobs, a line of attack that brings together the economy, a little-known career at a private-equity firm, and China, reports ABC's Matt Negrin. The thrust of the Post's reporting is that while Romney ran Bain Capital, the firm invested in companies that moved jobs from the United States to China, India and other inexpensive countries. Presumably, that type of mentality cuts against Romney's position as a presidential candidate, which is that America is No. 1. http://abcn.ws/OjhQer

BIDEN, IN LEAKED MEMO, TOLD OBAMA WAR PLAN WAS FLAWED. The AP's Anne Gearan reports: "As President Barack Obama considered adding as many as 40,000 U.S. forces to a backsliding war in Afghanistan in 2009, Vice President Joe Biden warned him that the military rationale for doing so was flawed, a new book about Obama's expansion of the conflict says. The book, "Little America: The War Within the War for Afghanistan," also says that in planning the drawdown of troops two years later, the White House intentionally sidelined the CIA." http://apne.ws/MmhgbE

OBAMA KEEPS FAITH IN THE GROUND GAME. The Wall Street Journal's Peter Nicholas reports: "Once again, the Obama high command is making a big bet on their ground operation. The aim is to flood the zone: open up offices in battleground states, call undecided voters, and swarm the shopping malls to register as many people as possible. In this way, Democrats hope to neutralize the Republican super PAC advantage by out-registering and out-working the GOP on the streets." http://on.wsj.com/ Lu8ut5

POLL: LATINOS SOLIDLY BACK OBAMA. USA Today's Susan Page reports, "The president leads Romney 66%-25% among more than 1,000 Latino registered voters surveyed April 16 to May 31, matching his muscular showing in the 2008 election among Hispanics. Romney is in the weakest position among Latinos of any presidential contender since 1996 - and in those intervening 16 years their percentage of the electorate has doubled. Since the poll was taken, Obama has fortified Hispanic enthusiasm by announcing he would block the deportation of an estimated 800,000 undocumented young Latinos who were brought to the United States as children. In a subsequent USA TODAY/Gallup survey, taken Wednesday-Saturday, more than eight in 10 Latinos approved of the president's action, most of them strongly." http://usat.ly/ L88c8D

ORRIN HATCH SEENS TO HAVE WEATHERED GOP STORM. The AP's Kevin Freking reports, "Dan Liljenquist, hoping to shock the political world on Tuesday, didn't let Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch's absence this month stop him. The GOP challenger opened his show with the usual call for new leadership in Washington, took questions from a pretend moderator and used a video recording of old Hatch interviews and speeches to provide the incumbent's response. Hatch had his own play for the cameras the next afternoon. He met Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney at the Salt Lake City airport and walked with him to an awaiting car as TV stations got the shot?Liljenquist, 37, had no alternative but to undertake some unorthodox moves to get voters' attention, Hatch, 78, let his campaign treasury of nearly $10 million and other GOP leaders make his case for a seventh and final term. Sensing he's far ahead in a state where the Republican primary winner is the heavy favorite in November, Hatch has bobbed, weaved and carefully avoided any mistakes that could lead to a surprise loss." http://bit.ly/NCmSzW

WHO'S WINNING THE BATTLE FOR MARRIED MOMS?. Bloomberg's Esme Deprez reports: "Obama won married mothers by 4 percentage points in 2008 compared to his 13-percentage- point margin among the gender as a whole, exit polls show. 'These women are the Republicans' best shot, especially in the swing states', said Ange-Marie Hancock, associate professor of political science and gender studies at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. In 1992, the so-called 'Year of the Woman' when female representation in Congress spiked, Democrat Bill Clinton won the White House with a plurality of women voters overall while losing the married-mother vote by one percentage point. Obama won't win this year if that margin exceeds five percentage points, Hancock said." http://bloom.bg/PZfeiR

VEEP BEAT: ABC's Arlette Saenz ( @ArletteSaenz ) rounds up all the action on the #veepstakes front:

PAWLENTY WON'T BUDGE ON VP: On Face the Nation Sunday, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty would not discuss his vice presidential chances and continued to suggest he could serve Romney better in another capacity than VP. "I really encourage folks to look at other prospects and to suggest I think I can help him best in other ways," Pawlenty said on Face the Nation. http://cbsn.ws/Lu7vJz

PAWLENTY & PORTMAN FINANCES: Real Clear Politics' Erin McPike looks at how the thick financial portfolios of Tim Pawlenty and Rob Portman will make their vetting process more involved as the Romney vetting team will have to sift through a lot more research than other contenders. "With Mitt Romney's vice presidential vetting process well under way, two of the likeliest contenders for the nod - Tim Pawlenty and Rob Portman - have some of the thickest financial backgrounds to comb through," McPike wrote. "Since dropping his own bid for president last August, Pawlenty has joined the boards of seven companies and serves as a senior adviser to another. Portman has a complicated financial history from a previous ownership stake in his family's since-sold company, Portman Equipment, as well as numerous investments. Republican researchers familiar with both potential picks say neither the former Minnesota governor nor the Ohio senator presents major problems; still, the vetting process might be more involved for the two top contenders than it is for an array of other contenders who appear to be further down Romney's list." http://bit.ly/L9zKdI

PORTMAN & RYAN FUNDRAISE: Sen. Rob Portman and Rep. Paul Ryan will headline a fundraiser for Mitt Romney tonight on the rooftop of the Homer Building in Washington, D.C.

WHO'S TWEETING?

@politicoroger ; The biggest difference between "West Wing" and "News Room" is that the women in "News Room" are portrayed as shallow & shallower.

@piersmorgan : Went to HBO's premiere of Aaron Sorkin's #Newsroom last night - loved it. Jeff Daniels is to anchormen what Martin Sheen was to Presidents.

@daveweigel : Hate-watching the Newsroom is going to be seriously fun.

@bdomenech : I actually watched about half of Dumb and Dumber again today. More true to life than #Newsroom.

@DavidChalian : So it seems I am destined to be the only person that will like @HBO's #Newsroom. But I'm prepared for that.

POLITICAL RADAR

-President Obama delivers a speech in Portsmouth, N.H. and later in the day, holds fundraisers in Boston.

-Mitt Romney holds a fundraiser in Arizona before traveling to Virginia. On Tuesday he delivers remarks at a campaign event in Salem, Va.
